Rambling...

My life has been super busy lately. In between having a kindergartener, being supermom (and wife), and rocking my job, I really haven't had much time for blogging till now.  For that reason this blog is nothing more than a compiled list of totally random thoughts and happenings of my life lately -

1. Noah LOVES and I mean LOVES school. His stories are hillarious!
2. I literally had someone pass gas in my face the other day and kept talking as though nothing happened --- yeah that was totally awkward.
3. My birthday is in 2 weeks!
4. My wedding anniversary is this Saturday!
5. Super excited about all the great things happening at work. Focused on recuriting a fabulous group of "superheroes" to help me save the world ;)
6. Headed back to the beach this Fall for some one on one time with the hubby!
7. Miley's favorite things these days are her blankie, paci and baby doll. We can't go anywhere without them.
8. Memphis is in love with the upgrades to his superhero themed room. His fav is the "Incredible Hulk" border that we put up.
9. I pet a pig for the first time last week.
10. Life is good.

Like I said, just a bunch of random thoughts. I'll try to post a more detailed blog soon!

Noah, the kindergartener

Tuesday marked Noah's first day of kindergarten. He was beyond excited and I was beyond sad. He allowed me to hold his hand to class the first day. He went into his class, put his stuff in his cubby and found his seat with his name on it. I began trying to take pictures of him at which point he told me "okay mama, you can go now." I held it together until I got to my car at which point I broke down into tears and cried for the next two hours (yes I know I'm pathetic). I just couldn't believe that my sweet baby boy was turning into such a big boy.

That night, I asked him about school. He told me he loved it and his favorite part was swinging outside on the swings.

Day 2 rolled around and he told me that again, I could walk him to class only this time he made me walk behind him and when we arrived at the classroom door? He turned and looked at me and said "go to work mama i love you"

Day 3 we were fully prepared for drop off needless to say!

He's loving kindergarten!

Kindergarten, here we come!

The past five years seem to have flown by. I can still vividly remember the day that Noah entered our world and changed our lives forever. As I lay in the hospital room that night after he was born and he lay in his little bed next to me, I remember our eyes met and his sweet little face melted my heart. It was late at night and Johnny was asleep on the couch and it was one of those moments where it was just me and him. A moment I wanted to last forever that seems to have quickly passed by.

I was privledged enough to spend the first year of his life as a stay at home mom. We spent countless hours watching Elmo, going to the park, taking strolls around Bonita, and napping together. I was there for all his firsts and cried the entire day I returned back into the working world.

Noah is my little man. My little buddy. He has a heart of gold and is so sweet. It's hard to believe that in just 2 short weeks he will enter into the big kid world and begin kindergarten. So, just for fun, I decided to write a blog about some of the things he can do.

1. He knows his ABCs
2. He knows his birthday
3. He can spell his first name
4. He can recognize colors, shapes, and numbers
5. He can count to 30
6. He knows how to operate an iPhone, an Xbox, a TV, and a blu-ray/dvd player
7. He loves to run - fast
8. He loves driving his powerwheels cars
9. His favorite foods are chicken nugget happy meals and pizza
10. His favorite color is red
11. He can write his first name
12. He knows his phone number
13. He loves cats and dogs
14. He LOVES superheroes
15. He loves going to church
16. He can hold his breath underwater and he loves to swim

He is a sweet little boy and I am gonna be one sad mama when the first day of school arrives!

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

" I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made" -  Psalm 139:14

For those of you seriously close to me, you know that I have been dealing with ALOT of crazy things lately. I've been fighitng an emotional war that has left me exhausted and stressed and most of the time feeling confused, unappreciated and defeated.

Many times, I have wanted to throw my hands in the air and give up. However, my husband and a couple of other super supportive people have kept me on my feet - pushing me, encouraging me, loving me, holding me tight and not letting me loose hold of what little fight I have in me.

This morning, I attended church as usual. This morning, it came full circle from a powerful messsage that came from Psalms 139.

Before I ever took my first breath in this crazy mixed up world, God knew my life already. He knew day by day minute by minute the struggles I would potentially face. He knew my triumphs, my joys, my moments of darkness and loneliness. He knows the countless hours I've spent totally alone and the thoughts that were there with me and it made me realize... if God knows all of this, then he knows what lies ahead and he knows the peace that is coming so it's time I let it go and let God take care of it.

I don't know what the future holds or what the outcome will be. I feel certain my life is slowly changing for the better. I've been trememndously happy at times in the recent months. Happier than I've been in a really really long time. All I can do at this point is let go. Let go of the pain, let go of the hurt, the cold heartedness from others, the jealousy, the painful words, the tears that have been shed. It's time I let go and hand it to God. He's got my back in this and I know he will see me through to the other side.

Rockstars in Training

In case you haven't figured it out already, I LOVE my career. I've never been so excited about any other job opprotunity I've had in my life - ever. Furthermore, I'm quite sure I've convinced all my readers that I practically jump out of bed every morning in my excitement to start another day.

The only thing that makes my day even more stellar is when I have the opprotunity to pour my knowledge, excitement and wisdom on to a new agent. Nothing pumps me up more than to share the excitement of a stellar week in production with someone who is new to the field. To know that we are protecting lives in the process is an added bonus.

I put tons of thought and preparation into each new agent that is brought under my wing. I want them to expereince the opprotunity of a lifetime I've experienced so far and then some. I want them to see first hand the success they can achieve and the life-changing opprotunites that lie ahead of them.

It's a blessing, privledge and honor to work for such an amazing company. It's even more of an honor to be able to work right here in Meridian for one of the best management teams ever. These guys are the real rockstars and my goal is to make them proud and carry on the legacy they will leave behind one day.

Sweet Miley

Is this child not the most gorgeous little girl EVER?!
